Two LUC projects win RTPI Scotland awards
We were delighted to see two LUC projects win RTPI Scotland Awards for Planning Excellence at last week’s ceremony. The University of Glasgow Western Campus won ‘Best Project’ with Zetland Park receiving the award for’ Overall Winner. We are proud to have played a critical role in both projects.
LUC's involvement at Zetland Park
LUC has led the design for Zetland Park project on behalf of Falkirk Council over a four-year period. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund the park has undergone a major refurbishment, breathing new life into this cherished community space. The project has involved restoration of various historic monuments, a new play area, a pump track, a performance stage and the refurbishment of a historic pond.
Creating a distinctive setting at the University of Glasgow
LUC has played an integral role in the transformation of the University of Glasgow Western Campus. We have been responsible for the design of all public realm and landscape across the new campus creating a series of cohesive streets and civic spaces that creates a distinctive setting for everyday university life.
