LUC joins the Employee Ownership Association
LUC is a proud Employee Ownership Trust, having transitioned to full employee ownership in January 2020. Today, we are delighted to announce that we have become a Trustee member of the Employee Ownership Association (EOA).
The EOA is a non-profit organisation that represents employee-owned businesses in the UK. It supports and connects its members across a diverse network, while advocating employee ownership to a wider audience. This includes the UK government, policy makers, and media among others.
Our membership of the EOA further aligns our values with our governance structure, and expresses confidence in the company’s long-term independence.
LUC has been employee-owned since its formation in 1966, initially with a small number of shareholding employees. We have since widened company ownership to include all of our employees, who are represented on LUC’s Board of Trustees by our three Employee Trustees.
LUC’s Managing Director, Jon Grantham, and Employee Trustee, Lucy Wallwork, will join the EOA’s Annual Conference later this month to discuss how we have embedded environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibilities into our business.
