LUC plants over 1000 native grasses and marginal plants for Rochester Riverside development
Two landscape architects from LUC worked on the planting for the attenuation basin within Furrel Parkside Quarter last week. This is the latest Phase of Countryside and Hyde Group's Rochester Riverside Residential Development.
The attenuation basin at the lowest point within Furrells Park forms a sustainable urban drainage system that collects rainwater runoff from the surrounding park.
Katie Duff and Ritvika Singh worked alongside the Valley Provincial team to set out and plant over 1000 native riverside grasses and marginal plants. This will provide visual interest and new wildlife habitat in the coming months.
The boardwalk further allows the users to interact and enjoy the attenuation basin.
