We're pleased to share that several LUC projects have successfully secured Contracts for Difference (CFD) in Allocation Round 6!
This achievement brings greater certainty to these projects, ensuring they can deliver electricity once the turbines are up and running—an important step forward for renewable energy.
Among the LUC projects included in the latest allocation are Corriegarth 2 and Chleansaid in the Scottish Highlands, Heathland in Lanarkshire, Abergorki in Wales, and the Hornsea Four Offshore Wind Farm.
While this is fantastic progress on each project, there's still much more work needed to decarbonise the grid by 2030. We’re excited to see what the future holds for each of these projects.
