LUC runs workshops at Healthy Primary Schools event
Our Director of Landscape Architecture Jennette Emery-Wallis led two workshops on LUC’s collaboration with Camden Council, helping to deliver the award-winning Camden Active Spaces Project.
The project aims to tackle childhood obesity head on by delivering high-quality bespoke play spaces within Camden school estates, backed-up with evaluation and monitoring by UCL sports scientists. Children need to achieve a minimum of 60 minutes of high level activity a day to stay healthy.
Keynote speaker Prof. Yvonne Doyle, London Regional Director of Public Health England, gave a rallying cry to the audience to get children active and help make London #MostActiveCity in the world.
