LUC scoops three 2015 Landscape Institute Awards
We’re delighted to continue our award-winning month with three LUC projects receiving Landscape Institute Awards last week.
The Restoration of The Level, Brighton won Highly Commended in the Heritage and Conservation category. The judges found it “particularly pleasing to see restoration of a 1920s park design, this period being less celebrated in landscape history.”
John Henry Brookes Building at Oxford Brookes won Highly Commended in the Design for a Medium-Scale Development category. The judges felt “the public realm of the transformed Headington Campus shows the real benefit of a landscape-led masterplan.”
The Visual Impact Provision: Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment of Existing Electricity Infrastructure in Nationally Protected Landscapes in England and Wales project won Highly Commended in the Policy and Research category. The judges said: “the study demonstrates wider applicability to other infrastructure sectors and providers.”
