LUC shortlisted for International design competition
We are delighted to be in the team with Sarah Wigglesworth Architects, one of five shortlisted for a RIBA competition to regenerate Soar Island in Leicester.
Backed by Leicester City Council, the contest sought proposals to revitalise the islet in the middle of the River Soar which currently features a cement works.
Andrew Smith, director of regeneration at Leicester City Council, said ‘We’ve been really pleased with the range of visionary ideas submitted which we are using to help us shape our thinking on how to make the most of this potential development site.’
The winning team will be announced this summer.
