LUC supports proposed re-design of Heathland Wind Farm
LUC has supported EDF Renewables for the proposed re-design of Heathland Wind Farm in West Lothian, Scotland.
LUC provided specialist services in relation to layout design, public exhibition materials, and landscape and visual (and cumulative) assessment. We conducted an aviation lighting assessment alongside Wind Power Aviation Consultants Ltd, with consideration to a reduced lighting scheme. We also produced a residential visual amenity study.
The site is located on the boundary between South Lanarkshire and West Lothian, near the settlement of Forth.
The scheme consists of 14 turbines with tip heights between 149.9m and 180m, along with associated infrastructure.
The application for the re-design has been submitted to the Scottish Government for approval.
We offer specialist support for your renewables projects.
