LUC supports new vision for London’s Parliament Hill
LUC has been working closely with the City of London and key stakeholders to develop a new masterplan for Parliament Hill.
We identified several areas of improvement across the site and produced sketch designs for six priority areas to assist with funding opportunities.
Our designs include regenerating the existing toddlers' garden, playground and paddling pool to provide plenty of physical and social play value, not only from the new equipment but also from their landscape setting. We also proposed a new half MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) to revitalise a redundant spot, and a new wetland area, which introduces a new habitat and sustainably manages stormwater runoff from the famous Parliament Hill viewpoint. The wetland area also immerses users in nature with the addition of a boardwalk and incidental ‘play on the way’.
The next phase of the project will be to secure funds to realise the designs.
