LUC innovates virtual consultation tools for public and stakeholder engagement
LUC continues to innovate virtual consultation tools for public and stakeholder engagement across a wide range of projects.
Our Virtual Exhibition Room is a three-dimensional digital space with a visually-engaging village hall design. Users access the rooms by web browser, and interact with informative content including graphics, videos, interactive maps, surveys, and StoryMaps.
Our Consultation Hub is a dedicated website for projects, which is accessible to stakeholders and members of the public. Features include online surveys, interactive mapping, and virtual whiteboards.
We employ virtual consultation platforms across many different projects, from wind farm proposals and overhead line routeing, to town centre regeneration and green infrastructure masterplans.
LUC has produced 30 virtual rooms and 32 consultation hubs in total – several of which are available in Welsh language. Our virtual consultation tools are also compliant with Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
We have received excellent feedback from attendees, and have seen high levels of participation. In particular, one recent online consultation received over 900 survey responses from members of the public. Additionally, consultees have viewed our most active Consultation Hub almost 6,000 times.
Get in touch to discuss how you can engage a diverse audience with our virtual consultation tools.
