We’re delighted that our GIS Day Mapathon yesterday contributed to some amazing progress in mapping Lubumbashi in DRC.

In the time that we were mapping, over 1,000 buildings were added to OpenStreetMap, which jumped to 10,000 overnight thanks to mapathons in USA.

Our ‘Mappy Wednesday’ will help those at Missing Maps try and reach their target of holding 100 mapathons this week #100mapathons.
