LUC to produce Nature Recovery Response for LBHF
The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF) has commissioned LUC to produce a Nature Recovery Response.
The work will support LBHF’s efforts “to take radical and fundamental action” in becoming the “greenest borough in Britain” after declaring climate and biodiversity emergencies in July 2019.
LUC’s Ecologists, supported by our Landscape Planning team, will help the borough set clear intentions to address these parallel emergencies.
Our experts will undertake a desk-based biodiversity review, looking at relevant legislation and targets for nature recovery within the borough in line with those for the city and its future Local Nature Recovery Strategy. The outcome will form the identification of key opportunities for recovery, ranging from habitat creation and enhancement to recommendations for Local Plan policy
The opportunities will consider interventions that support wider cross-boundary networks, coinciding with neighbouring boroughs.
