LUC is proud to sponsor the Place North West Lancashire Development Update online event on 22 April.

The event will give an update on activity in Lancashire, key developments, pipeline projects and policies shaping the area. The session will cover commercial and residential property in a mix of presentations and panel discussions.

LUC Associate Ecologist, Sofie Swindlehurst, is delivering a talk entitled ‘Landscape-scale Thinking – Natural Capital, Nature Networks & BNG’. Sofie’s presentation will cover:

• Recent evolution and future trajectory of landscape-scale tools to drive environmental recovery.
• Integration to the local plan process – best practice and partnership working
• Relevance to Lancashire Local Plan delivery.

Associate Director of Planning, Melissa Kurihara, will join Sofie to bring in her planning expertise.

Sofie and Melissa will speak alongside representatives from Eden Project North, AMRC, Calico Homes and Lancashire and Blackpool Councils.
