LUC prepares landscape design information for restoration of listed buildings in Bristol
LUC is preparing the detailed design and construction information for the restoration and conversion of Regent House and Consort House in Bedminster. This forms part of a scheme to create 247 new homes and revitalise these important landmarks for modern living.
We worked with City & Country to design the landscape in and around the buildings. We also undertook a views analysis, ensuring the visual impact of the development was properly assessed, carried out ecological surveys and developed mitigation to ensure a net gain in biodiversity. This work resulted in a successful planning permission for the scheme.
Rebecca Knight, Associate Director of LUC said: “We are delighted to be working with City & Country on this project which draws on LUC’s landscape design, assessment and ecological expertise.”
City & Country have a history of sensitively restoring historic and listed buildings, returning them to viable and beneficial use.
