LUC attends launch of Scotland’s Landscape Alliance
LUC is pleased to have attended the launch of Scotland’s Landscape Alliance (SLA) last month.
The SLA is led by the National Trust for Scotland and Landscape Institute Scotland. It will help in understanding how Scotland benefits from its landscape and how it can be recognised, conserved and enhanced.
The launch provided the opportunity for input from a wide spectrum of interests including the many organisations who use and promote landscape, and those who influence design and development within Scotland’s landscape.
Landscape is the setting for everything we do. It provides a place to live, to learn, to play and to promote our health and wellbeing. Landscape accommodates our development needs, from travel to energy. It encompasses the natural and the built environment, the land and the sea, the historic and the contemporary.
