LUC attended and sponsored the launch event for the new Scottish Badgers survey guidance last week in Glasgow.
The event was well attended by representatives from 15 consultancies and members of Scottish Badgers, Forestry Commission Scotland and Scottish Natural Heritage.
The new guidance is on “Surveying for Badgers: Good Practice Guidelines”. It provides a standardised survey methodology for the survey of the Eurasian badger (Meles meles) in Scotland.
Our Board Director for Ecology, Steve Jackson-Matthews, was involved in writing the guidance, which can be read here.
