LUC shortlisted for Large Planning Consultancy of the Year at the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence
LUC has been named a finalist for Large Planning Consultancy of the Year 2025 at the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence.
The awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of planning professionals and organisations across the UK.
Being shortlisted places LUC among the country’s leading consultancies, recognised for excellence, innovation, and impact in planning.

Over the past years, LUC’s Planning team has been going from strength to strength, expanding its services in infrastructure planning, nature recovery, and digital innovation.
The team now includes over 75 professionals and continues to support new planners through apprenticeships and achieving RTPI chartership.
LUC’s planning work spans policy and plan-making at national, strategic and local levels, development management, environmental assessment, and climate action.
Recent highlights include leading Green Belt and climate studies for local authorities, securing consents for renewable energy projects such as Tywn Hywel Wind Farm, and shaping inclusive urban spaces like the Dumbarton Town Centre regeneration.

LUC’s success reflects its strong culture of collaboration and interdisciplinary working. As an employee-owned company, LUC empowers its teams to deliver projects that create better futures for nature, people, and places.
The recognition also follows a period of continued thought leadership and innovation, including the Nature Markets Pioneers Podcast series, the Green Belt Summit with No5 Chambers, and research for the RTPI on the global role of planning in tackling water challenges.
Winners of the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence will be announced at a ceremony in London on 27 November 2025.
LUC looks forward to celebrating alongside peers from across the profession and thanks its clients, partners, and colleagues for their continued support.
