LUC backs online event for South of Scotland Enterprise's Regional Land Use Framework
LUC is actively supporting the South of Scotland Enterprise (SoSE) in promoting the Regional Land Use Framework (RLUF) through an upcoming online event.
LUC worked with SoSE and Southern Uplands Partnership to develop the RLUF.

This initiative is part of the Regional Land Use Partnership pilot, a joint effort involving SoSE, Dumfries & Galloway Council, and Scottish Borders Council, overseen by the Regional Economic Partnership.
The RLUF is a strategic document addressing climate and biodiversity challenges in the South of Scotland. It advocates for immediate actions like creating native woodlands, restoring peatlands, and promoting sustainable food production.
SoSE has released the draft RLUF for public consultation, seeking input from organisations and individuals through a dedicated form.
LUC will play a key role in supporting an online event in late January, focusing on the RLUF consultation. This event aims to gather insights from a wide audience.
After the consultation, LUC and SoSE will review feedback on the draft RLUF. They will then collaborate to shape a final version, set to be submitted to Scottish Ministers after the consultation concludes in late February.
