LUC hears from stakeholders ahead of Carmarthenshire Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy
LUC has been working with Carmarthenshire County Council to deliver a Strategy that sets out how to enhance Green and Blue Infrastructure in eight selected towns across the County.
Stakeholder engagement is a key foundation of our work. We asked local stakeholders and community groups to use a digital Consultation Hub to tell us how their town is performing in terms of green and blue infrastructure. We asked them to tell us how they would like to see the network strengthened – to make it more resilient to a range of future pressures and to support the regeneration of struggling town centres.
We used an online survey to learn the strengths of each place, and what needs improving. We also used this to co-create opportunities for improvements in each place.
LUC’s GIS & Visualisation team supported the project by creating an interactive map of Carmarthenshire on the Hub. We invited all stakeholders to add points to the map to highlight strengths, weaknesses and key opportunities in any of the eight towns.
