Surrey County Council has appointed LUC as the environmental consultant in a team to help in their Countryside Enhancement Programme.

The Council aims to improve residents’ connectivity with Surrey’s countryside and investigate how to reach low user groups. The project will help propose events and activities to widen the appeal of selected sites, but to do so in a way that respects the sensitive environmental value of many of the sites.

Our Landscape Managers and Ecologists will provide an analysis of the countryside sites based on environmental considerations and practicalities and their suitability for particular events and activities. The team will also explore the market potential and reach for proposed events, considering local competition, population demographic and low-user group integration.
