Tina Muldowney to speak at LI Event on Transition to Net Zero Neighbourhoods
We are pleased to announce that Tina Muldowney, Director of Landscape Architecture at LUC, will be speaking at the Landscape Institute’s National Housing and Regeneration Conference: Scotland, taking place on 29 January 2026 at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh.

The event brings together leading voices from across the built environment to explore how housing and landscape design can work in tandem to accelerate the shift toward low‑carbon, climate‑resilient places. Tina will be presenting alongside Marketa Hermova, Davy McCracken and Julie Waldron, contributing her perspective on the role of landscape-led design in shaping sustainable neighbourhoods.
The session will examine both the challenges and opportunities in reducing embodied carbon and increasing carbon sequestration in the places where people live. Moving beyond a building‑focused approach, speakers will discuss how a whole‑place perspective can support climate goals at site and neighbourhood scales.
Participants will gain insight into:
- How carbon reduction and sequestration can be embedded across housing and landscape systems
- The contribution of landscape design to climate change adaptation and environmental sustainability
- Opportunities for landscape-led design to support a just transition to net zero
Tina brings extensive experience in landscape planning and design, with a particular focus on creating resilient, people‑centred places. Her work spans strategic green infrastructure, nature‑based solutions, and climate‑responsive design, making her a valuable contributor to this timely discussion.
Bookings are now open, and further details can be found via the event page.
