LUC to update two Canterbury landscape studies
We are pleased to be appointed by Canterbury City Council to update their Landscape Character and Biodiversity Appraisal.
We will undertake a critical review of the existing landscape character evidence base in relation to current policy and guidance.
We will also undertake a review of the local landscape designations evidence base, identifying (through a criteria led approach) the landscapes that merit the additional protection provided by designation at the local level. This will identify specially valued landscapes in the district in the context of NPPF 109.
These studies will provide a robust evidence base to underpin the review of the Local Plan and will assist in the local planning process.
