University of Glasgow's Western Campus wins at Scottish Design Awards
We are proud to share that the University of Glasgow’s Western campus has received gold awards for public realm and lighting design at the Scottish Design Awards. This achievement was celebrated last night with an event filled with live music, comedy, dancing, and networking.
Representing LUC, Duncan McLean, Tina Muldowney, and Glen Wallace attended the ceremony to accept the awards and enjoy the evening's festivities.
The University of Glasgow appointed LUC to help extend its historic campus into the former Western Infirmary site. The goal was to develop a dynamic new urban quarter that would offer world-class facilities while honouring the university’s rich historical context. LUC’s design was pivotal in creating a thriving urban hub that places community engagement and sustainability at its core.
We are honoured to receive this award for our work on the University of Glasgow’s Western campus. This project is a perfect example of how innovative design can create spaces that are inclusive, sustainable, and enriching for everyone. It’s a testament to the collaborative effort and vision of the team and the University.
