Welsh National Parks Sustainable Development Planning Guidance adopted
We are pleased that the Joint Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) on Enabling Sustainable Development has been adopted by all three Welsh National Parks. It explains the type and location of developments that are likely to be acceptable in the Parks and the main principles against which applications are judged.
LUC researched and drafted the SPG in consultation with farming and other business interests, tourist boards, housing developers, conservation organisations and Park planners.
The guidance is proving highly successful in championing positive planning conversations between applicants and planning officers, leading to better planning applications.
