University of Winchester, West Downs Centre wins Civic Trust Award
Fellow architect, Design Engine, has been revealed as a UK National Award winner at the Civic Trust Awards for the University of Winchester’s West Downs Centre.
Continuing our successful collaboration with this architectural practice, LUC worked closely with Design Engine on the site planning and landscape design for this project.
The Centre provides much-needed frontage in a prominent location within the City of Winchester and is a vital component to unlocking the University’s progressive development of its estate. The facility is home to digital technology and business programmes and provides a 250 seat auditorium, art gallery, café, food hall, shop, library and social spaces.
The scheme also won a 2021 Landscape Institute Award.
