Woodside, Firhill & Hamiltonhill Development Framework wins Living Waterways Award
LUC is thrilled to have won a Living Waterways Award this year for our Glasgow canal masterplanning project – Woodside, Firhill & Hamiltonhill Development Framework. The awards are organised by the Canal & River Trust and our project was recognised in the Engaging The Community – Large Scale category.
The project outlines the significant potential of the Glasgow canal as a connector between disadvantaged communities, to invigorate underutilised greenspace and to encourage and promote activity, wellbeing and health. The project encompasses the establishment of a Vision, Development Framework and masterplan for the canal corridor between Applecross and Firhill Basins, supported by extensive community participation.
