Zetland Park opens after four years of LUC involvement
Zetland Park in Grangemouth formally opened on 28 August with a ceremony marking the completion of its restoration.
LUC worked on the project for four years. Our team developed the regeneration plans, prepared National Lottery submissions, and administered the contract to completion.
The project rejuvenated Grangemouth’s town park with a combination of restoration work and the development of new facilities. These include:
- a new inclusive play area;
- a pump track;
- a naturalised pond;
- a performance stage;
- a human sundial;
- restoration of the historic fountain, entrance gates and Cenotaph garden.
We also introduced tree planting and wildflower meadows, alongside resurfaced paths and renewed benches.
Falkirk Council and the local community hosted a day-long programme of activities for the Grand Re-opening event. LUC supported the event by erecting and operating a hugely popular Coconut Shy.
We look forward to seeing Zetland Park being used and loved by its community.

We’re really pleased to share that Swiss Cottage Open Space has won a BALI National Landscape Award in the Community & Schools Development category. As landscape architects for the scheme, it’s great to see this recognition for a project that has created a welcoming and much-loved space in the heart of Camden.
