The Historic Environment section of the Planning Practice Guidance (PPG) was updated on 23 July to reflect the recent changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).

While it should be noted that majority of this section of PPG is unchanged, there have been a few significant changes. This briefing focuses on issues commonly encountered by planning authorities, highlighting key changes and their potential implications for plan- and decision-making.
