LUC supports Dogger Bank Wind Farm connection to National Grid
LUC has played a crucial role in consenting the world's largest offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank, which has now generated its first power to the national grid.

The 3.6GW Dogger Bank Wind Farm is located 130km off the North East coast of England, and the first phase is connected to the national grid in East Yorkshire.
On behalf of SSE Renewables and Equinor, the companies behind the development, LUC produced thorough Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) for the onshore and offshore elements of the Project.
These assessments, part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), ensure compliance with rigorous environmental standards. The Project received a Development Consent Order (DCO) in 2015. LUC provided landscape expertise to support the delivery and construction of the onshore works.
When fully completed, gigawatts of clean power will flow seamlessly from Dogger Bank to homes and businesses across Britain, eventually powering up to six million homes annually.
LUC's expertise, spanning over 5GW of offshore wind energy development, continues to support the transition to Net Zero.
