LUC launches new Arboriculture service and appoints new Director

LUC is pleased to announce the launch of a new arboriculture service and the appointment of our new Director of Arboriculture, Karen O’Shea, based in Manchester.

Arboriculture is the management and care of trees, and most land development projects include tree or woodland considerations. It is important that the work we do and the services we offer help to protect our precious trees and woodlands and keep them healthy and safe for future generations.

Karen O'Shea

Karen is an experienced arboriculturist and team leader. She spent five years as a Tree Officer for a local authority and has over ten years’ experience in private arboricultural consultancy. She has considerable knowledge of all aspects of tree-related issues with extensive experience in the planning system and carrying out tree surveys for development projects. Karen’s expertise will feed into all aspects of LUC’s project work and bolster our position as a leader in supporting clients in land use developments.

We are delighted to see the establishment of our arboriculture services and are particularly pleased to welcome Karen to LUC. Her experience and expertise will undoubtedly add considerable value to our projects, ensuring we recognise the importance of trees and woodland in our response to the climate and biodiversity crises.
