About

Sarah has over 20 years’ experience in environmental consultancy, specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and the management of complex multi-disciplinary projects.

As an Associate Director in LUC’s Environmental Planning team, she leads on the delivery of EIAs and stakeholder engagement across a broad range of sectors. She has extensive experience in the energy sector, supporting clients to secure consent for electricity transmission and distribution projects, as well as onshore wind farm developments in Scotland. Her work covers projects brought forward under both the Town and Country Planning Act 1997 and Electricity Act 1989 s37 and s36 consenting regimes.

In recent years, Sarah has focused primarily on electricity transmission projects for Scottish and Southern Energy Networks (SSEN) Transmission, and previously for SP Energy Networks. She brings in-depth knowledge of routeing and alignment processes, consultation strategies, and environmental assessment within this specialised field. Earlier in her career, she worked for several years in the onshore wind sector, gaining significant experience in the assessment and consenting of wind energy schemes.

Sarah is focused on delivering clear, high-quality EIA that helps clients achieve consent while ensuring environmental considerations are properly understood and addressed.
