Natural England asked LUC to develop a new interactive mapping tool to support its forward-looking landscape programme.

The tool identifies broad search areas for potential National Parks and AONBs, and places where alternative landscape approaches could benefit people and the planet.

The All England Strategic Landscape Mapping Hub helps Natural England achieve its ambition to create a strategic visionary map for England’s landscapes in the 21st Century.

LUC undertook spatial analysis and consultation to co-design the tool with stakeholders.

This new tool aims to reflect the spirit of the 1947 Hobhouse Map which led to the establishment of the first National Parks 70 years ago.
